ANNUAL FEAST CELEBRATED AT ST JOACHIM KADABA

Kadaba 08/01/2025:The annual feast of St. Joachim Church, Kadaba, was celebrated with devotion and grandeur on January 8, 2025. The celebration brought together parishioners and visitors from nearby areas, creating a vibrant atmosphere of faith and unity.The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Walter D’Souza, Parish Priest of Bendur Church, who served as the main celebrant. In his homily, he emphasized, “Let us all live as pilgrims of hope through prayer in the family. Festivals bring unity among us.”

Kadaba 05/01/2025:St. Joachim Church in Kadaba marked Confraternity Sunday on 5th January 2024 as part of the preparations for its annual feast. The Eucharistic celebration was solemnly presided over by Rev. Fr. Valerian Pinto, the former parish priest, joined by Rev. Fr. Vincent Saldanha Manager of Kodialbail Press, Rev. Fr. Amith Prakash Rodrigues Principal of St Anns School and Rev. Fr. Paul Prakash D'Souza parish priest as co-celebrants. The Mass provided an opportunity for the congregation to reflect on themes of faith, unity, and devotion.

Kadaba 24/12/2024:The Christmas celebration at St. Joachim Church, Kadaba was marked by a joyous atmosphere. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo, with Rev. Fr. Paul Prakash D'Souza as the concelebrant. After the Mass, there was a vibrant cultural program, including carols, skits and dances, showcasing the talents of the parishioners. Fun games followed, engaging people of all ages. The celebration fostered unity, peace, and joy, creating a sense of community and making it a memorable Christmas for all participants.

NATIVITY OF MARY CELEBRATION AT ST JOACHIM CHURCH 2K24

KADABA 08/09/2024:On September 8, 2024, St. Joachim Church at Kadaba celebrated the Nativity of Mary with great zeal and devotion. The day began with a lively procession from the church complex, featuring the Bambina of Infant Mary. Parishioners carried freshly harvested paddy and children joyfully carried flowers during procession. The solemn Eucharistic celebration was led by Rev. Fr. Paul Prakash D'Souza, enhancing the festive and reverent atmosphere

Laudato si celebration by DCCW 04/08/2024

Kadaba 04/08/2024: The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women- Kadaba unit celebrated Laudato Si 2K24 by giving medicinal plants to the parishioners. Oath taking of the new office bearers of DCCW Kadaba Unit took place during the mass.

Kadaba 26/07/2024: We celebrated the titular feast of our patron, St. Joachim, on the 26th evening by celebrating the Holy Eucharist. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Rev. Fr. Arun Wilson Lobo, Principal of Padua College, Mangalore. He was our former parish priest. Concelebrated by V. Rev. Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas Vicar Vaar of Puttur Deanery, Rev. Fr. Paul Prakash Dsouza, our parish priest, Rev. Amith Prakash Dsouza, principal of St. Ann's School Kadaba, Rev. Fr. John Baptist Moras, parish priest of Maril Church, and Rev. St Joachim Church Kadaba, commemorates its Centenary Celebrations on April 17thThe event, graced by the presence of Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, the Bishop of Mangalore, Most Rev Dr Lawrence Mukkuzhy, the Bishop of Belthangady, and Most Rev Dr Geevarghese Marc Makarios, the Bishop of Puttur, and other eminent dignitaries, by inaugurating the church gate and church bell witnessed a blend of prayer, gratitude, and recognition.

Kadaba: Centenary celebrations of St Joachim’s Church to be held on Apr 17

Kadaba, Apr 15: St Joachim’s Church belongs to the diocese of Mangalore, which is 85 kms towards the South East of Mangaluru.Originally Kadaba was a part of Kokkada parish. It was separated in 1923. Fr Rosario D Sequeiraa of Kokkada built a chapel here. Fr Lawrence Lobo who was the first resident Missionary here, built the presbytery and an orphanage in 1924. Kadaba became a parish on April 1, 1924.
